A bit more about our new project: The Elm Action Map. Thanks to our friends at St Andrews University we’ve been successful in getting some funding to support some more elm-related activity here over the coming year. This will include a Dutch elm disease workshop to learn how to better protect and understand more about tree health. We also plan to make an interactive story map which will bring to life our beautiful local elms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandy Haggith
lives in a remnant of ancient rainforest in northwest Scotland and spent 20 years as a forest activist, from award-winning local campaigns in Scotland all the way to the UN. She is now an honorary research fellow and lecturer in creative writing at the University of the Highlands and Islands. She is the author of Paper
